This Sunday is Mother's Day, and there is so much to do in the High Country! We have rounded up the best events happening this weekend.
When & Where: May 6, 10am at Buckeye Recreation Center, Beech Mountain
Learn about the wildflowers that grow on Beech Mountain, led by our plant expert, Lauren.
When & Where: May 6, 10am at Tanger Outlets, Blowing Rock
Located throughout the beautiful courtyard, Tanger's Artisan Market will feature several of the High Country's very own local art and crafters showcasing their unique handcrafted goods such as pottery, live edge wood pieces, pet products, oil and resin paintings, embroidered quilts, jewelry and more! Be sure to check out this unique outdoor shopping experience!

FREE Event and open to the public! Enjoy Ashe County recipe tasting, a bounce house, children's games, face painting, farm animals, a book sale, live music, raffles, and more!
When & Where: May 7, 10am at Hickory Ridge Living History Museum
Learn what crafts and activities settlers in the North Carolina Backcountry would have been doing during the spring months. See craft demonstrations like spinning and weaving, or try period food and drinks prepared in the same fashion as the settlers of the 1700s.
When & Where: May 7, 10am at Downtown North Wilkesboro
Stroll around and visit our unique shops, galleries, antique stores, and great restaurants. Ivy Ridge Traditions is sponsoring live music on 10th Street in Apple Fest Park from 11am to 2pm featuring SunQueen Kelcey, performing a collage of hip-hop, soul, rock, and contemporary R&B (soul-rock). There's also a cornhole tournament being held on 10th Street.
