Blowing Rock WinterFest will be held January 23-January 26, 2020. Events include the Polar Bear Plunge, WinterFeast, WinterFashion Show, Ice Carving in Memorial Park, a Chili Cookoff & Tasting, Winter Beer Garden and more! Check out some of our favorite events!
WinterFeast January 23, 2020 A restaurant crawl under one warm and cozy roof! The best restaurants of the High Country will feature their small plate selections. The selections will be prepared by 15 different restaurants, including The Best Cellar, Storie Street Grille, Twigs, and more!
WinterFashion Show January 24, 2020 Blowing Rock retailers will join forces to bring you the latest fashions and accessories during the WinterFest WinterFashion Show at the Evergreen Ballroom at Chetola Resort. Check out the newest winter and spring apparel from the area's top retail stores. Enjoy mimosas and spritzers when the doors open at 10:30 am until 11:30 am, when the runway opens. The show will also include intermission entertainment and lunch will be served.
WinterFest Ice Stroll January 24, 2020 Stroll through Blowing Rock and see all the gorgeous ice sculptures! A dozen ice sculptures will be on display in front of businesses in town. You also don't want to miss the Ice Carving Demonstrations on January 25th in Memorial Park.

Polar Bear Plunge at Chetola Lake January 25, 2020 You don't want to miss one of the highlights of WinterFest! This event is free for spectators. Watch the fearless contenders take the Plunge and enjoy the naming of the famous "Golden Plunger," awarded to the best costume.

Rotary Charity Chili Challenge January 25, 2020 Taste chili from local non-profit organizations and vote for your favorites! Proceeds go directly to the charities. The three local celebrity judges will decide who has the best chili and will award the restaurant the coveted trophy. Event takes place at the Blowing Rock School Gym from 11:30 - 2:00 pm.
WinterFest Beer Garden January 25, 2020 The 4th Annual WinterFest Beer Garden will be held on the Blowing Rock Chamber Lawn. This year's event is expected to include over 15 vendors. Enjoy samplings from local and regional breweries, along with live music and food!
WinterPaws Dog Show January 26, 2020 The WinterPaws Dog Show will benefit Partners Canines. Show off your four-legged best friend or just come to see the cutest dogs around at Blowing Rock Elementary School Gym from 1-3 pm.
