Oktoberfest at Sugar Mountain October 9-10 Sugar Mountain Resort Head to Sugar Mountain Resort Saturday and Sunday, October 9th and 10th for the 31st annual Oktoberfest celebration. Valle Country Fair Valle Crucis Park October 16, 8am-4pm You don't want to miss this true mountain fair! Spend a crisp Autumn Day in one of the most picturesque valleys in the North Carolina Mountains. This authentic harvest-season community celebration features 150 arts & crafts vendors, live bluegrass music, and home-cooked food.

Woolly Worm Festival Historic Banner Elk Elementary School October 16-17, 9am-4pm The 44th Annual Woolly Worm Festival features live music, arts and crafts, food vendors, and the famed Woolly Worm race!
High Country Halloween October 30-31st
Blowing Rock Halloween Festival: October 30th, 3-7pm Enjoy free activities and games, trick-or-treating and a Monster March costume parade down Main Street!
Boone Boo: October 31st, 3-6pm Head to downtown Boone for games, crafts, trick-or-treating at local shops, and a spooky tour of the Jones House. Click here for more Halloween events
High Country Pumpkin Patches & Corn Mazes
Harvest Farm Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch Valle Crucis, NC Opening September 25, 2021 Located next door to the Original Mast General Store, Harvest Farm features a 7 acre corn maze and a beautiful pumpkin patch that is perfect for family photos! Open Friday-Sunday, starting September 25th.
New River Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch Deep Gap, NC The Brown Family Farm is open now! Fridays and Saturdays, the farm is open from 10am-dark. Sundays 1pm-dark. Located just outside of Boone, New River Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch offers a pumpkin patch, corn maze and haunted corn maze, tractor-pulled hay rides and a train ride!
Ashe County Corn Maze New location: 1332 NC Highway 16, Jefferson, NC Opening September 25th at the new location! The Ashe County Corn Maze is the perfect activity for the whole family. Enjoy the 4 acre corn maze, pumpkin lot, and a field where visitors can pick their own pumpkin right off the vine!
