Celebrate the holiday season as Tweetsie Railroad transforms into a winter wonderland for Tweetsie Christmas! Enjoy a nighttime train ride among thousands of dazzling lights!

Santa uses gravitational vortexes just like Mystery Hill! This year, some mischievous elves have messed with Santa's vortex generator and now elves are scattered all over the mysterious hillside. Bring the family to help rescue the elves and save Christmas. Mystery Hill offers daily family activities throughout the week, plus extra fun activities on the weekends!

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting The Blowing Rock, North Carolina's Oldest Travel Attraction, from 1pm to 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays leading up to Christmas!

December 18th, 1-3pm
Meet Santa and then stop by the complimentary s'mores station and warm up by the fire!
December 22nd, starting at 4pm
The parade will start at 4pm, leaving Beech Mountain Resort and following the Beech Mountain Parkway to the White Wolf Lodge. Following the parade, head to Town Hall for crafts, hot chocolate and a photo opportunity with Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
December 25th, 1-10pm
The ski mountain is open on Christmas day! Reservations are required. Click here to purchase your tickets now! (Customers who purchase tickets online before noon on December 24th will receive a 50% discount!)

December 31st, starting at 4pm
The Horton Hotel, Downtown Boone
Enjoy cocktails by the fire on the rooftop lounge and ring in the New Year with a ball drop!
December 31st, starting at 9pm
Free alpine torch light parade and firework viewing outside. You can pay for reservations to the indoor festivities which include a champagne toast at midnight for the Last Run Lounge, or a basket of Hors D’oeuvres, party favors, and a champagne toast at the Third Floor Cafeteria. Prices vary.
Lodge at Beech Mountain Resort
December 31st, 7pm-Midnight
Enjoy entertainment, food and complimentary party favors! The lodge is stocked with a full bar and beer from Beech Mountain Brewing Co. This event is open to all ages.
January 1st, 2022 6:30am
Ring in an epic New Year on Saturday, January 1st with the first sunrise of 2022 atop Grandfather Mountain. This special event allows guests the rare opportunity to visit the park outside of regular operating hours. The mountain will offer a complimentary hot beverage and pastries for sunrise guests. Appalachian Ski Mountain
Jan. 2nd, Jan. 23rd & Feb. 21st
The Shred for the cup Series includes 3 events held throughout the winter season that test skiers and snowboarders skills. App Terrain Park will kick off their Smith/Dakine Shred for the Cup Series on Sunday, January 2nd with the Rail Jam. The second event, Big Air, will take place on January 23rd. The third and final event, Slopestyle, will be on February 21st.
Sugar Mountain Resort

Winter Trails Day offers children and adults the chance to try snowshoeing for free! Guided tours are also available on the hour from 9am-4pm.
